Cyber-Insectoid Individual
There's a decidedly non-mammalian vibe that technology shares with the insect world. I'm not the first individual to point out this link as the Invid from Robotech, the Insectagons from the Transformers clearly express this notion.
Probably the one creative work that always exists in the back of my mind, however, is the cover art from the Herbalizer's Giant Wall Crawling Insect Breaks album. This was released during my formative college years and so is always somewhere in the back of my head.
I started going off the grid pretty good with this one. It's back is two leg pieces and its face is, I think, someone's breastplate or something. Sure, the appendage ends are pieces manufactured as such, but I was having trouble using other things. I really think the Xevoz needed to come with adapters so that any part could join with any other. There's something to look at, 3d printers of the world, make some adapters!
